Doesn't look like this happens every time, but here is what I found and how to repair the issue. I can only assume and test with the next ones to use a local admin account when upgrading and/or unjoin the PC from the domain. This upgrade was ran through the Windows Update, Windows 10 installer on the users domain profile which has local admin rights. My question is why did this happen? It wasn't just one PC it was all of them I upgraded on my wave. To speed up the process I added the user to the advanced security of the entire APPDATA folder and enabled inheritance for all other files & folders. Originally I clicked one folder and the permissions changed back after a prompt asking me if I want to continue with access. After a bit of troubleshooting I found the PC Users\%username% \APPData Folder had permissions issues. Upon opening almost any 3rd party application (Outlook, Chrome, QuickBooks) error populated noting they did not have permissions. The upgrade went well with no hassles, but after things started happening that shouldn't have. I recently upgraded my clients PCs to Windows 10 Pro.
